Redbird Research LLC was started in August 2006 when NARA-St. Louis opened their Archival Research Room to the public.  This allowed me to be one of the first researchers in the building.  I wanted to not only honor my father’s 20 plus years of Air Force service (I am a proud AF Brat), but to use my history degree (UMSL) and interest in military/genealogy matters to aid others in their searches for answers.  This includes families, genealogists, military collectors, authors, podcasts, tv shows, institutions and research facilities both domestic and internationally.

I have used my memberships in the National Genealogical Society, Association of Professional Genealogists, Missouri Genealogy Society, Ohio Genealogy Society, Czechoslovakian Genealogy Society International, Orders and Medals Society of America, St. Charles County Historical Society, Civil War Roundtable, Missouri Humanities, Missouri State Archives and the State Historical Society of Missouri to further my education.  And being a member of museums including:

The National WWI Museum and Memorial, The National WWII Museum, Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum, Missouri History Museum, The St. Louis Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum and The Four Chaplain Museum adds even more knowledge.

Teaching military research classes for the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research, Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy and the International German Partnership, along with lectures for local and state societies, libraries and conferences allow me to share my love of the military.

My promise to you is to honor the person you are working on.  It might take time, but whatever resources I can pull from to get the answers, I will do that.  I treat my customers as friends, not a number.
