Description
Veterans’ official military records document their professional achievements and heroic acts through the awarding of medals and honors. The Award Cards, 1942-–1963 series holds thousands of index cards detailing these awards bestowed upon veterans in those years. After a fire at the National Personnel Records Center (NPRC) destroyed many personnel files in 1973, this collection was transferred to become part of Record Group 64: Records of the National Archives and Records Administration – creating an invaluable record for Stolen Valor legal cases that stands today as a permanent resource.
The series includes personal awards and decorations for the Army, Air Force, and Army Air Force (World War II predecessor to the Air Force). These are medals earned through individual effort such as meritorious service, personal gallantry, heroism, and acts of bravery against the enemy.
Here at the Redbird Research, our WWI research specialists are committed to providing accurate and comprehensive files for any veteran who requests them. We locate the necessary files and scan it page by page to be viewed in its original form. Afterward, we send an invoice via email to the requester so that they can pay with a credit/debit card or Paypal. Once payment is confirmed, we will send case file directly to you, giving you access to detailed information about the veteran’s service record details. Our team understands how important this process is, so rest assured that we work diligently and accurately throughout our scanning process.
